K1 Medical was founded for a simple reason: to help independent physicians thrive. Our founder, Dr. Kim, is a practicing physician who grew frustrated with the financial pressures facing mom and pop medical offices. He saw firsthand how private practices were overpaying for essential supplies and being exposed to risky, non-compliant billing practices by other purchasing groups. He knew there had to be a better, safer way.
Our Mission: A GPO Built for Physicians
He created K1 Medical to be that solution. We are a Group Purchasing Organization (GPO) built from the ground up to serve the unique needs of the private practice physician. Our mission is to level the playing field, giving independent clinics the purchasing power of a large hospital system without the complexity, cost, or risk.
Our Model: Transparent, Compliant & No-Fee
Our model is built on transparency and value. We charge no membership fees or dues. Instead, we earn a small percentage from vendor rebates, and we pass the majority of those rebates directly back to our member physicians as a distribution. This transparent, fully compliant model is "safer" for doctors and aligns our success with yours.

About Dennis Kim, MD
Medical Education Dr. Dennis Kim earned his medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington, DC. He then completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Georgetown University Hospital, also in Washington, DC. Dr. Kim further specialized with a fellowship in Adult & Pediatric Allergy, Asthma & Immunology at the University of South Florida in Tampa, FL.
Board Certifications Dr. Kim is board-certified in two specialties:
- Internal Medicine
- Adult & Pediatric Allergy, Asthma & Clinical Immunology
Professional Experience Since 2015, Dr. Kim has been a leading practitioner in his private allergy office in Palm Harbor, FL. In addition to his private practice, he has dedicated his expertise to serving veterans as a staff emergency room physician at the local St. Petersburg VA hospital since 2010.
